For independent advice on the safe operation of powered pedestrian doors, the Independent Compliance Assessment Service (ICAS) is a service you can trust. It is used widely by end-user customers and ADSA members to verify satisfactory performance or to arrive at recommendations for door system improvements.

On taking your brief, we develop a framework and terms of reference to outline activity which needs to be undertaken. This may include preparatory work, site visits and meetings, reporting mechanism and timeframes for delivery. It may also incorporate:

  • A BS 7036-0:2014 risk assessment for the door set at the time of the visit. This assessment is fundamental to enable us to understand the predominant users of the door and the likely risks associated with the door in that environment.
  • An authorised technicians check which details all measurements required to ensure full compliance with BS EN 16005:2023+A1:2024
  • Review of door operation to fully understand any unforeseen user requirements
  • Analysis of previous visit reports and service records to ensure the correct service and maintenance regimes are in place
  • Stakeholder engagement to understand the challenges at the time of the site assessment
  • A detailed report on performance and recommendations for improvements.

We offer ICAS under strict non-disclosure arrangements for many of our clients and have worked with prominent architects’ practices, education establishments, a major UK supermarket and health and care providers, providing safety reviews and specification advice.
