NEW Chairman of BSI MHE/31.(Automatic) Power Operated Pedestrian Doors..
When the Automatic Door Suppliers Association was formed in 1985 the founder members immediately recognised the need to work with the British Standards Institute (BSI) to help create standards and codes of practice for our industry. 38 years on and with demands for a competent and compliant workforce higher than ever, our work with BSI remains at the very top of our agenda.
With this in mind we are delighted to advise that Our Technical and Training Manager Darren Hyde has been confirmed as the new Chair of the BSI MHE/31 Working group. This group is responsible for (automatic) Power Operated Pedestrian Doors. This appointment ensures that ADSA continues to support our members and the industry by actively contributing to new standards and best practices. Darren will also represent us on CEN TC33 Working group 9 ensuring that we have strong representation in Europe as well.
Darren succeeds Paul Watson in the role and I would wish to thank Paul for his fantastic work as the former Chairman and also for his mentoring support to Darren over the last few years.
I am sure you will join me in wishing Darren every success in this extremely important role.
