Why hire an apprentice?

Devised by ADSA and the Trailblazer Working Group, the Level 2 Powered Pedestrian Door (PPD) Technician two year apprenticeship programme aims to provide relevant health & safety, electrical and mechanical training relating to the installing and servicing of powered doors.

ADSA work in conjunction with the chosen delivery partner South Staffordshire College (Tamworth) to provide this course.

Employing an apprentice is very desirable

You will be directly involved with training and creating the future of the Powered Pedestrian Door industry.

Knowledge | Skills | Behaviours

Apprentices will undertake training in the following ways:

• At South Staffordshire College
• Provided in the work place
• Delegated hours of off-the-job-training

This programme is conducted on block release, learners attending college for one week at a time.

Learning must be supported by a workplace mentor

Apprentices working alongside experienced, skilled members of staff will gain the most valuable job-specific skills.

Industry related training

To enhance their competency, apprentices will receive additional industry training from suppliers and manufacturers of products.
