On approval, you will be sent an email and invoice for membership. Membership Band Criteria  
Sole Trader Member
  • Individual person holding a valid BS EN 16005 card or wanting to take the BS EN 16005
  • Reference from two ADSA members
Company Member
  • Manufacturer/installer/service & maintenance of automatic pedestrian doors
  • Reference from two ADSA members
  • Committed to best practice and compliance
  • A manufacturer/distributor of sensors or accessories to the industry
  • 1 Year membership in which to get 2 engineers through the BS EN 16005 (Provisional Member)
  • Subscription based on turnover with Automatic Doors

BS EN 16005 Testing

BS EN 16005 Testing Criteria Fee and Conditions
ADSA Member Engineer
  • PAYE employee of ADSA member company
  • After 3 attempts of passing test must attend full combined training by ADSA
  • Valid for 3 years
  • Subsequently renewable every 3 years
£35 ex VAT
Re-test due to test failure £35 ex VAT
Non-Member Engineer
  • Individual person not PAYE employee of an ADSA Member company
  • 3 opportunities to pass test
  • Valid for 3 years only

BS EN 16005 Online Card Renewals

BS EN 16005 Online Card Renewals Criteria Fee and Conditions
ADSA Member Engineer
  • Renewable every 3 years
  • Must renew within 3 months of expiry - Failure to do this, must re-sit the test
